Do you have it set on "Quarantine" or "Block" for "unwanted/suspicious programs?"

Whats the difference?

Does it matter which one we choose?

It should do both?

Quarantine obviously being the 2nd level (if cannot block, then quarantine)

But what if it blocks a program you are trying to run?

Let's say we're talking about avast here.

If avast blocks a program, it's probably for good reason. If I know with 110% that the program is clean, then I can simply disable my shields for 10 minutes.

Tbh I've never had problems with avast blocking something it shouldn't.

Its all of them, avast, spybot, ad-aware, comodo, etc...

Which is better to keep defaulted to..."block" or "quarantine" ?

Please show me where in avast you choose a setting of block or quarantine.

I think you're applying some things from spyware removal tools (e.g. ad-aware) where a specific malicious item has the option to be removed or quarantined. You're mixing anti-virus and spyware scan/removal tools.
