Foreign film acting

What do you think of foreign films? I prefer them because I think the acting is great. You have to put aside Hollywood & their ideals when watching any foreign film. To me, Hollywood tends to be over the top & people tend to expect that & some are disappointed when foreign ones don't live up to that.

I've watched a few Japanese films over the years like the old Godzilla and some old action flicks from the early 2000's. Even a few old Chinese martial arts movies here and there when I was a kid.
