One classic movie of Tom Hanks is Forrest Gump. The role was so fitting that you will forget Tom Hanks when watching the movie. The slow-witted Forrest rose to fame with hard work and luck. Of course, there was his mother who gave him full support in all his endeavors. With his contagious optimism, Forrest was a hero in Vietnam and he also had some success in sports. Sally Field plays the supportive mother. And who can forget that line - life being like a box of chocolates - it is now a cliché.

Big fan of Tom Hanks, I first watched this on TV when I was young, about 12 y/o, I don't know why, I'm pretty sure I didn't understand everything at the time, but I really cried especially during the end. Watched it again many years later and it was still really good. One of my favorite drams of all time.
