Your Forum Review

First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)
First thing I noticed was the difference between the header (top of your forum) and the rest of the forum’s colors. Your header is mainly black however, the rest of your forum is white/grey and a light blue. I came to a dilemma though. Your forum still looks pretty good. I think you could still change up the header or change up the forum’s colors and it would look even better. The color difference is not enough to turn me away from joining, but I would definitely look into it if I were you. I think it would look better if the colors were matching the black header or at least a little darker.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)
I would make it a bit more organized. This could be done by having your site’s services in one area and the user-to-user forums in another. I say this because, I must admit, your site is quite big and it would only make it better if it was easy to navigate.

You should also have your ‘services’ section above your “webmaster central”. A lot of users, including me, want to get straight to business and have direct results. I know after that I would definitely look into discussions like ‘webmaster central’, but you should put the services before that. That is just my opinion.

Also, I know that gaming is a popular hobby and could definitely be implemented into your ‘Entertainment’ section with ease. It would give people more to talk about and I am sure you would get great results with such a big forum. I see that you have gaming in your tech-related forum, but I think gaming is more of a hobby and not all gaming is done through technology. If you put it in your Entertainment section then users could talk about any type of gaming whether it is console, computer, or board run.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)
Great activity, there are very nice stats in each and every part of the forum. The only place where there are not a lot of posts/threads is your Site of the Month section, but this is a hard place to get posts in outside of new threads. Your stats currently show:
Total posts 195364 • Total topics 19470 • Total members 2462
This is very good.
I looked at the most members you had online in the last 48 hours and that was great. 154 at one time. That’s pretty good. However, with that statistic came 338 guests. You should try to get all of those guests to sign up. I can’t really provide a definite way, but there’s got to be a way out there. Overall, great activity and all of your forums have good stats. So I don’t think any of your sections/forums deserve the ‘delete’ button.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)
This is the hardest to look at as it is hard to find disciplinary actions posted publically or even to the members. I did read your rules though and they are all pretty good. Your rules are located here:
http://forumadvertiser.com/rules.php
Rules are self explanatory and I can find none that are unreasonable or unneeded. I can’t find any stray or inappropriate topics so it looks like you and your staff is doing pretty well!

Spelling/Grammar & Professionalism - (Out of 20)
"Rejected"
All sites that didnt follow the rules, no longer exist, or have been rejected for any other reason will be stored in here.
Above, didnt should be: didn’t
I don’t think there should be a simple spelling mistake on the main page. You should definitely change this.

There is also a mistake in your rules thread. ‘Isnt’ should be: Isn’t . Found this in:
http://forumadvertiser.com/rules.php
“*Note: The rules are subject to change at any time and the staff reserves the right to use their best judgement in determining what shouldnt be allowed here even if it isnt listed in the rules above.”

Other mistakes in your rules page:
Judgement should be: Judgment
And shouldnt should be: shouldn’t

Besides that though I could find no other mistakes.

Final Remarks:
Looks like a great site. Just fix some of the grammar and spelling mistakes and that will make it much more professional. I recommend a style change, but that would not have to be done immediately. It would just make it look better when someone looks at it for a period of time.

What was most liked about the website/forums:
I absolutely love the stats and the activity. I am sure that all of your users are very happy and satisfied (which makes a forum generally a good one).

What was disliked most about the website/forums:
When I was doing this review (in the beginning) your site took very long to load. It took a while to load up pages and would attract more users if this was faster. Of course, hosting is expensive, and it is not easy to just upgrade.
However, towards the end your site loaded much faster. I don’t think it was my internet as other sites were loading fine. Besides this technicality problem, there was not much to dislike.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to join my website?
I am currently on a few forums and have no real time to get started on another one. Sorry! Good luck with your site, I may join when I have more time on my hands.

Thanks for the review. I appreciate the time you put into that. 🙂
However I do not agree with almost everything you said and the nitpicking at tiny insignificant details made me laugh. The review was also hard to read. Good luck on your "reviewing career." Hopefully you will be able to write better ones in the the future. 😀

Thank your for submitting your feedback!
I must admit your forum was hard to review as it is a pretty successful board and not a lot has to be changed.

Thanks for the feedback,

As and promotion forum admin, theezy, i thought you would have a little more respect for a new reviewer to the forum. Allow time for adjustments. I thought it was a good read, and pretty accurate. The nit-picking is suppose to provide you with some help, that obviously noone else has noticed to this point. You can't deny the punctuational mistakes the reviewer pointed out.

Re:

Nobody was disrespecting anyone. I was giving my feedback. The first two sentences of my response was all about showing my gratitude. The reviewer reviews a forum and gives their opinions. The "customer" has the right to give the feedback for the service they just "purchased." He responded to my feedback professionally, cant really say the same for the "team leader."

Theezy I know this old, but I was just checking up on your response. I noticed that you didn't fix some of the spelling mistakes. I would suggest doing that as it would make your forum more professional and generally "good looking" for the reader/viewer.
