Some forums have apparel shops mixed with their forum, so that members can buy t-shirts, sweaters, even hats with the forums tagline and usually the logo. I have never done it but I have heard it helps wit revenue with the forum. Have you ever create a shop full of apparel to help with the forums revenue? If so, what provider did you use for the shirts, etc?

I haven't actually done this before, though I have messed with making various shops at different times, just to see what I could do with it.

Though, from past experience with watching forums with shops, they usually do better when there is a good size active userbase.

I've done this in the past, most recent was University Forums.

I was the only one that bought anything.

Might try it with Once Believers, but official merchandise might be just as good.

I love them! But, I would never get one for my forum. It would be amazing to buy something from FP. 🙂

I think more like a pen, or a coffee mug would be appropriate for the shop. I personally wouldn't go around wearing a shirt saying "ForumPromotion".

Nice idea if you have a big forum and people are willing to pay for the shirts.

Better off making your own brand and selling it on your store instead.

Yeah, I can see the potential issue with wearing a shirt that has a forum name on it, since it can bring undue attention to oneself. Though from previous experience, I have given a couple clothing companies sells, due to having shirts that advertise them.

I'm not really all for it to be honest. I don't really see a point to it I guess. Like, I may like a forum and all, but not enough to actually wear a shirt around with its name on it.

I never done this but I think this will be quite interesting. If you have a good price, then you can certainly generate profits from it. However you will need a balance between cheap products and make sure the cost is less than the revenue. Unless you have a local forum, you will also need to consider international shipping which can cost more.
