So what do you allow as far as attachment types, and how big of a file size do you guys allow on your forum?

For me, 100MB file size and members can only upload images, .docs, and .zip files. Everything else isn't allowed, (and can easily be uploaded with zipping it.)

So what is your limit?

I don't think I even touched the limit for that. Whatever the default was.

Whatever the defaults are for Xenforo, not something I normally change.

I have the same defaults for myBB. I never see them used very often so I don't tend to control it very much as it doesn't take too much space.

It depends on the context - do you users have reasons to attach big files? The most common use case is just images, and sometimes a doc or PDF. Usually anything above 10mb per attachment (or whatever the approximate filesize is of the largest size image you allow) is unnecessary (unless you have need for large files) and makes abuse of your server that much easier.

I use the MyBB defaults, but premium members get more space. Pretty much any files go.
