Forum Battles Tournament - Read All About It!

The Community Team has decided to start hosting several competitions. The first is going to be The First Forum Battles Tournament!

This will be played in bracket style tournament and winners will be judged by a panel of about 3 people to cut down bias and cheating from the communities. The panel will be three people who are not entered in the tournament. This will operate like agentmanningctu's Forum of the Month thing worked on his blog.

Sounds fun though when you say how agent did it it seems like you're copying. Is it different or the same thing?
 
Same type of concept. Agent knows full well we're doing this as I brought it up a long time ago and he helped iron out some details. If Agent didn't want us using this method of doing the tournament, we wouldn't have.
 
Forum Spotlight is long since dead anyways. Agent has been busy. Even if it was complete copying (Which it's not 😛), Agent really wouldn't care. I think I remember reading about this idea in the staff board months and months ago, and it looks like it has just now actually started?

Also, I would like to comment on how excellent the Community Team has been lately, running competitions, contests, forum battles, taking over the Auction House, and then the basic duties of a Moderator. What can't they do? 😛
 
Thanks Cmt! There's a legit reason for why the competitions are only just now starting, but I'm not getting into that.

Agent was on board for this, and to be fair, I gave him credit for it in the first post. ^>^
 
I usually don't take part in forum battles, but this sounds like this could be interesting, so I might give it a go.
 
First round Bracket will be posted tomorrow! First round winners will be based off of 3 judges' (whom will not be revealed) rating and basic opinion of your forum.

Bracket two will contain all other entries,
the winner of bracket one will face the winner of bracket two 😉

Someone has to battle phpBB? And you never know just what the outcome will be, not everyone can be a huge fan of just one forum 😉
