What changes do you think you'll add to the site in the next year or so?
I can't see too much changing within the next year. On Friday nights we've had a long tradition of a live chat night, but the source will have to change as it's flash based and that's gone the way of the dodo these days with a warning that it's being phased out. So we will have to find a new free service for it over the remaining seven months of this year.
EDIT I saw in the original post just now about the history and never answered it so:
Back in late 2001 I got my first computer, it was a hand me down - my sisters; on first got on the 'net. One f the first things I wanted to look for was somewhere I could read Transformer comic like I did as a kid. I grew up and moved on to other comics come the age of 11 and for years I had dreamed about though those comic, toughing them, the feel of the paper, reading them again. I found a site and ended up joining their community forum first.
Eventually I felt like venturing on my own, but ended up creating a sci-fi forum first which ran for almost two years, very successfully for a year and half of that. Later in the year I wanted to make my own Transformers forum, some of them were rather "up themselves" and I wanted to talk to other fans on my level as I grew unsatisfied with this site. At this time I had also joined another Transformers ProBoard (Who also hosted my sci-fi forum) and for a long time things were good there but ultimately the original admin was unskilled and wanted to move us all to another ProBoard for the sake of not knowing how to change the colors. Moving would be one thing but one night the admin wiped the board clean of all content - just deleted it all, infuriating everyone. Relationships, friendships had forged but all the fun laughter and banter had been wiped clean. So most of us refused to move with the old admin and stayed put with the adminship/owner changing. It was then converted into a Transformers roleplay where we were allowed graciously to create our third custom faction.
All the above is relevant as some of the members fro there came over to my new board as well as ones from another TF community I was a aprt of just by having it in my signature. Some from the latter were more enamored with my place and made more of a fuss about it (In a good way!) than I ever could. It was from that other forum that enabled us to continue to roleplay our new factions' adventures at my own board. Things had gone a bit stale at the first board, so one of the members from the second board kindly let us use his rp rules he had adapted for our site. Over time I had a team who continued to adapt and change these rules with character creation weapons and points and such that it grew and grew. Thanks to our small team I would say we developed one of the more sophisticated Transformer roleplay implementations out there.
