Pros:
- I like the quick view of the latest milestone reached on the index. That's something you don't see done often. The fact is, some people just don't read announcements, so it's good to have that there.
- It does not appear you're overstaffed. I wouldn't hire any more admins, however, and at this point, I don't think any global mods are needed.
Cons:
- Your skin isn't fluid. That makes your forum look horrible on larger monitors, and is generally annoying.
- You don't have a favicon. Those are always good to have. That way, people will see you easily and quickly on their favorites list.
- Your logo leaves much to be desired. It's just like the default logo with some custom text. It relates in absolutely no way to your forum's purpose.
- I don't get your forum. It's called "Forum Carnival - Gaming to the people!" However, most of your forums are off-topic. Also, what's up with having a graphics database? It has nothing to do with games at ever.
- Some of your forum descriptions are grammatically incorrect.
"Typos, mistakes, suggestions, put it all in here." should be something like, "Typos, mistakes, suggestions - put them all in here."
"Are you new to The Forum Carnival? Come on in and say hello!" should be, "Are you new to The Forum Carnival? Come on in, and say hello!"
- Most of your posts are from your staff. That really can turn regular members off from visiting your forum if everything is by staff.
Final/General Thoughts: Your forum doesn't really offer much, and needs some major adjustments.
