Forum Features - MUST HAVE

What features MUST you have on your forum before you release it to the public?

Features? As in the forum boards? Or the graphics?

No. Such as MODs like Quick Reply etc. Or default built in features.

The default just had the basic post form with the submit button. This gives you more of a functional quick reply while still keeping the default up and running.

Extends basic quick reply editor to the full version with post icons, smilies and BBCode buttons. Adds selective quote function available through default button.

And not only that, but with the modification, I think it's unless you have it specified otherwise, you don't have to worry about clicking the Show link to make the quick reply appear.

And people can select in their UCP if they want it or not as some people don't enjoy reading topics with lots of other thing on the same page.

I don't think that there are any features a forum must have -- every forum is different, so some features wouldn't work on it. Like if you had an "I hate money" forum, adding the ultimate points modification would be kind of stupid.

I agree. Different genre forums usually have different mods then another genre.

Depends what type of forum it is for. My games forum has to have an awards system

Also prostats is a must (mybb)

If I started a sports forum there would be no need for that mod.

Various features I would have would depend on what type of forum it is.
