It's quite a sad event to be posting this here. A few of you know Hungry who was the Discussion Hub co-owner but is more of a silent partner now since he is busy with some other stuff. Unfortunately, with my last year of Uni coming up, it's time for me to focus 110% on that because of how important it is. Neither of us are going to have the time and resources to focus on DH. That's a killer for any forum to not have the main admin spending time on it at all.

We are unfortunately putting DH up for sale. It's not what I wanted when I started DH around 2 years ago but unfortunately, if we don't get a buyer, the site may have to close. I don't want to see it become a graveyard with a few members posting once or twice a day.

We will not be selling the site to just anyone, unfortunately. Trusted members of the FP community will be the priority especially if you're able to continue running the site without just taking the database and using it for another forum.

A XenForo license will not be included in the deal as it cannot be transferred.

What you will get:

• The domain (discussionhub.io). Expires 27/05/2023
• The full database that contains 56000+ posts, 4100+ threads, and 161 members
• Light and dark theme customised massively to give it a completely unique look
• AddonFlare XF2 Awards System, ThemeHouse Spotify, ThemeHouse UI.X, Truonglv Social Groups, DragonByte Credits, DragonByte Shop, Siropu Referral System, and a few other free addons
• An upgrades membership system that is somewhat popular with users provides you with a source of revenue to offset costs
• A thriving community with a great core of active users. If the site is sold, I will remain as a regular member visiting from time to time.
• I will assist you with the transition period

Why not hire people to run the site for you? I mean hire one or two admins that will control the site and then you can be on leave 😉 so that when you are more accessible or after six months of Uni, you will be alive again and still be the website owner.

I have seen that happen, Owner can't get the time anymore and so he hired another guy to run the full work both front and backend and the owner left for a full year and return to his site in working order and was able to still own it while on leave.

Thanks about it, I do not want you to leave LOL

Thanks for the kind words but I'll still be around as a regular member, on DH and a few other forums 🙂. I think it's just too complicated to leave to someone else, to be honest. You have to find someone you can trust and someone that doesn't need to be micro-managed but still has similar ideas to myself. It's best to sell it and let someone take full control over the future of the board.

You have to find someone you can trust and someone that doesn't need to be micro-managed but still has similar ideas to myself. It's best to sell it and let someone take full control over the future of the board.

If you hire them then you 'tell' them what they need to do and how to do it. You don't have to worry about their ideas or micro-manage them seeing as you're paying them for the service. Just tell them your vision for it, and how you want it all to run and there you go 🙂

I see it's been sold now though, I wish you all the best Ash 🙂
