I am going to create a new forum , so I wanted to know a few things . For the time being , I want to go for free hosting , but later I might go for a custom domain name . I want to know a hosting site that gives cheap hosting per year and also supports phpbb3 ; i t must also support free hosting which I can later upgrade .

zymic.com has exactly that... you can later upgrade I believe you would have to give it a quick glance, because zymic offers the free hosting, but they have a side partner who takes care of the paid hosting and I do believe it's cheap.

I would suggest freehostia or x10hosting. Both have what you need.
I used to use zymic. They were very slow when I last used them. Also, if you are looking for a free host as well as very cheap hosting packages, you can try our web hosting.
