Hello well currently I enjoy Setting up forums such as setting up the groups , permissions , categories & forums , styles ETC but I have a problem with Managing the forum . Over time I tend to Give up and not much progress is occuring :/ Any advice for me?

The best advice that anybody who has owned or currently owns a forum can give is that you should stick with it. Building a decent community is a slow process, it won't grow over night - so making sure you're the most active member and making sure there is a lot of discussion for your potential members are really important points to consider! And if you have issues with your interest burning out - try finding a decent staff team that will be able to cover for you through any breaks you might need!

Is this for the first time, or have you had this each time working on a forum as owner or co-owner? Or admin.

also what jay00 said is correct.

Never give up hope.
Consider if i am an active member of your forum. For some reason your forum's activity reduces and i too stop visiting your Forum. It never means i will never return to your forum. Even after few months, if you introduce a new service or something and make the forum active again. I will surely return.

But on contrary, if you close that site and start a new one. Do you think i will join again? How can i be sure, you wont close this site too? How can i be sure, my posts won't go wasted?

That's where a successful and un-successful forum admin differs.
Every forum will see a stagnant stage sometime. If the admin continues the site and try to do something to get new visitors and keep up older ones, he will succeed. If he just closes it down, he won't be successful.

My advice would be to do what you enjoy. Set up forums for other people, if you are good at it people will pay good money for the service. In other words, leave managing forums to the people who enjoy it and specialise in doing what you enjoy doing.

What forum software have you worked with?

If you have a forum with a niche you enjoy than you are more likely to enjoy it. For me, I like computer stuff, my Tech forum is very very slow, but I am still hanging on to it because I really enjoy helping my members when they post an issue or ask for any help. I would say, choose a niche that you enjoy the most 🙂
