Many people may overlook the importance of forum marketing! If done right, you can drive high quality traffic through forums.

High quality forum traffic can be driven from joining forums of the same niche. When you join a forum of the same niche, your posts and links and exposed to thousands of people with a common interest! We all need targeted traffic to our website in order to experience online growth!

Backlinks is another reason why forum marketing is amazing! You get as many backlinks as you want! The more you post, the more backlinkss you receive. This is great for search engine rankings!

If you want to rank high for a certain keyword on Google, you can use those keywords and link them to your website in your signature link. For example, if you want to rank high for marketing online, you can simply add the words marketing online in your signature, and link it directing to your website! This does wonders for SEO rankings for your chosen keyword!

Yeah that should still be fine JPM as the search engine spiders can still locate and index the URL under the picture.

Does the same apply if you have an image in your signature like mine?

And if the forum allows HTML in your signature (most don't, but some do), you can even add alt and title tags to your image. From my own personal experience, those things carry a lot of weight with Google.

You're right about that. I'd say about 90% or more of forums around today don't allow HTML on their forums at all because of security reasons. Forum softwares tend to use bulletin board code(bbCode) instead of HTML but sometimes you can add attributes such as width and height so maybe some of them will let you add others.
