Hey..
I was wondering..
What is the best length to have my forum pages set to?

I currently have my forum set to..
- 25 topics per Forum Page.
- 25 posts per Topic Page.

What is your forums set to?
What do you think is best..
Long pages? or Short Pages?

Let me know your thoughts on it..
Thanks!
😛

On General Talk it's 30 topics per page and you can click on 'Load more topics' to see more on the same page, and 20 posts per page on the topic page.

30 is quite a bit but I think it works well and there isn't a lot of scrolling required.

I have to agree, sometimes its nice if - for example - you are looking for a fix to a computer problem. If you have to click through pages and pages of stuff, then its a nightmare. If you can just scroll down a page then its much easier. The busier it gets, the more you can get away with per page.

We use 20 on AF, it's like that by default 🙂

Was just wondering if like have longer pages would help with regards to SEO with more content being on each pages.

I would just use the default that comes with the forum board. I really never go messing with that part of the forum because I never had a problem with it. But it's best to keep it short and not too long. Make your members flip through the pages. More page views right?

Yeah, i suppose that too 😛

Well, it depends how active your forum is and what it needs for your content to be seen with ease. 😎

I agree with you ZINC, for newer forums or less active forums 10-15 should be sufficient but more established and active forums around 20 should work well. 🙂
