I don't see why so many have such a thing, for not allowing links, especially if it is of interest to users of a particular forum... Don't people multi-task much?
I have noticed that sometimes people either fail to signup and post, or they don't know how to use the ACP and create a profile.. I think showing where ur from, birthday, interests, etc., show ur not a bot.
The more people post, I think the more people could benefit from an online community.
I have seen forums that ban people, when simply deleting a problem account could do the trick... These are the same types of mods that listen to people that don't even go to their community.
