Hello, and welcome to the Forum Promotion Design Contest!
You may be familiar with our Graphic Database. It's a subforum that allows users of FP to release their graphics to the community to help others. Sadly, it's one of our smallest forums, with only 195 topics. But we're in luck!
In this contest, users will submit their best work to any of the six categories in the Graphic Database (they're listed below), and the community will vote to decide the top entry. The winner of each category will receive $5 via PayPal and a special badge next to their username! Here's a FAQ to help answer some of your questions.
FAQ:
Q: How can I enter?
A: Post a topic in the database with your graphics attached. I'll be keeping track of the entries in a spoiler at the bottom of this post. If I miss yours, please PM me with the topic link.
Q: How long will submissions be accepted?
A: We will be accepting entries for one month, so until 4/25/2013 5:00 PM PST.
Q: Do graphics already in the database count?
A: Nope, only ones posted after this topic.
Q: Can staff enter?
A: It depends. We're going to limit staff entry to only those on the PT/RT, just to keep things fair.
(team leaders are also excluded)
Q: What if a category receives 0 entries? 1 entry?
A: If there are less than one entry, no winner will be decided and the money will be divided into other categories.
Q: Can a user submit work in more than one category?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Can I submit work that I didn't personally create?
A: Does this really need to be answered? All entries must be personally created by you. Don't cheat, it ruins the fun for everyone.
Q: Well does that mean that I can't use things such as icons created by someone else?
A: Not necessarily. If the license provided with those graphics allows reuse, then it's fine to use them. However, your submission must be mostly made by you; use common sense.
