Hi all,

Today, we're adding a new feature to FP. Starting today, we will be holding Forum Promotion Happy Hour at 9:00 pm US Central Time, and 9:00 pm UTC time, every day.

During happy hour, every post you make on FP will receive 1.5x the usual amount of FP$. So, instead of receiving 2 FP$ for making a reply, you'll instead receive 3. Posting a thread will earn you 6 FP$ instead of 4!

Here are the times of day that Happy Hour is in effect:

UK Happy Hour:
  • PST Time: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
  • MST Time: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • CST Time: 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • EST Time: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
  • UTC Time: 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • AWST: 4:00 am - 5:00 am (Australia)
United States Happy Hour:
  • PST Time: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • MST Time: 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • CST Time: 9:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • EST Time: 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm
  • UTC Time: 3:00 am - 4:00 am
  • AWST: 10:00 am - 11:00 am (Australia)
Note that you don't have to live in the UK to take advantage of the UK happy hour, and vice versa. We may make a few adjustments to the schedule, depending on how things turn out. Feel free to suggest changes. We don't have a happy hour for Australia yet, but we recommend y'all catch the US happy hour time in the morning.

Credit to @Meowsepad for suggesting this idea. The goal is to encourage activity at a particular time of day, to make conversations easier.

Why is the happy hour for EST so late
  • EST Time: 10:00 pm - 11:00 pm can't be something like PST like from PST: 7-8PM?

It's not late for me 🙂 Yet again I'm online till 3am 😛
 
I've been waiting for a new feature to happen on FP and I really like this one. Additional FP for an hour that the activity is at its' lowest. Good job.

Because this must be the time they have the lowest activity and they are trying to boost the post count activity at this time.

The 10:00pm EST time applies to all parts of the US. So, when the US happy hour is active at 10:00pm EST, it's also active on the West Coast at the same time, where the current time is 7:00pm. It's meant to give everyone in the US a time in the evening. If there's popular demand we can shift it a bit to the left.
 
This is an interesting addition. I always struggle with the hours because I can't remember the equality to GMT, but it's good to note that everyone can basically use this feature regardless of location. I hope many will take advantage of this! 🙂
