It has been nearly three months since we announced the changes that will reshape Forum Promotion. Today, we are proud to announce that those changes are finally here. They include a new design, a new logo, brand new sections, and a beautiful new website. Read on to find out more!

Azent - The New Look for Forum Promotion

Forum Promotion has a new look, and the only word to describe it is stunning. Designed by Cody of Outline Forum, this design combined a dark blue background with bold red highlights. Over the last month, we have been slowly releasing snippets of the theme. Today, we are proud to release a complete look at the new design. On June 25th, this design will be live on ForumPromotion.net!

phpBB 3.1 - Fresh, Interactive, and Friendly

Forum Promotion has been using phpBB 3.0 for years. On June 25th, we will be upgrading to the very latest version of the software, phpBB 3.1, but this change is more than just a minor upgrade. The new Forum Promotion will include notifications, which let you know when someone has quoted your post, and will also give us the ability to develop powerful new extensions that will improve your experience here on FP.

Community Spotlight - New ad service from Forum Promotion

Along with the release of our new theme, we are also proud to announce the launch of a new ad service, which will be called the Community Spotlight. A Spotlight ad will be a header link which appears on the view forum and view topic pages of the Forum Promotion website. For a price of 50 FP$, your website will be put in the spotlight for two weeks. The Community Spotlight will launch of June 25th, along with the rest of the theme.

Community - New sections and and better rules

New Section - Forum Software & Extensions

Software is an important part of every community. phpBB, MyBB, XenForo: your choice can define how your community grows. On June 25th, we will be adding a new section to Forum Promotion, which will enable you to discuss these important aspects of running your forum.

New Section - Forum & Website Finance

Finance can determine whether a forum succeeds or fails, and provide a good source of income to its owner. On June 25th, we will be adding a new section to Forum Promotion, which will enable you to discuss matters of finance, income, hosting, and expenses.

Updated Rules

Forum Promotion's goal is to become a friendly community that is open to everyone. On June 25th, we will be changing several rules to be more lenient in what they allow. The What's Going On guidelines will be updated to be more relaxed in what milestones can be posted, and what events can be announced. The exchange boards will also see more relaxed rules on the number of topics allowed. Finally, we will be adding a few additional clarifications to the board-wide guidelines, to make the rules more clear, and easier to follow.

Maintenance - Scheduled downtime for these updates

On June 25th, at 3:00 PM US Central Time, (9:00 GMT), Forum Promotion will be offline for a number of hours while we perform these updates. We will be back online at, we estimate, 6:00 PM Central Time (12:00 midnight GMT).

Conclusion - Change is almost here

Forum Promotion is about to change. The updates which we have been preparing for the past several months now will all be released at the same time, and they will be amazing. We very much look forward to your response to these changes, because this is not the end. Forum Promotion will keep growing, and keep changing, to meet its members needs. If you have any thoughts, ideas, concerns, suggestions, or questions, please let us know!
