Are you bored? Here's a quick survey that you can take to help us learn about your needs here on FP as well as any issues you might have. This survey will be available for at least a month but don't wait that long!

It's anonymous!

Thank you!

Please do take some time to fill this out! 🙂

I will do that, when I'm bored and not busy lol

How truly anonymous is it?

I'm the only one who is getting results as far as I know and what I'm doing is putting the answers into an Excel spreadsheet. I don't receive your usernames so I'm labeling according to the time that the entry was received so I can keep track of which ones I've completed.

It's just a form submission that does not require you to be logged in and is ran on the WordPress side of the site, not Xenforo (the forum) so your forum account will in no way be linked to your results.

Additionally, no information (such as cache, IP or device/browser type) is collected on submission so no response can be traced.

If you are concerned your response may be linked to you still, you are welcome to navigate to the URL in an incognito/VPN browser and submit that way 🙂

Interesting, thank you. In the future, may be worth adding this type of disclosure prior to the survey.

I submitted the form but I didn’t get a message to say it was sent… so you may or may not have my submission.

My only concern would be if nothing is logged, doesn't it run the risk that the results could be skewed by multiple submissions? It could mess up trying to get a clear picture of genuine views depending on how heavily certain things are being weighted.

I'll be analyzing the responses and gauging them according to how legitimate they may or may not be depending on the wording of the responses.

This isn't going to be a scientific evaluation and the conclusions will be beneficial in knowing how we're represented and what areas we're lacking in. I'm sure we'll be getting submissions that skew the results, but one or two crazy ones won't negate the others.

What is your criteria for invalidating a response? Are there any risks associated with the survey? Any conflicts of interest?

I know in 2015, when the last "anonymous" userbase survey was done, half of the users who submitted a survey, included their names in it anyways. Some of the ones that wanted to remain private, had legitimate concerns, but didn't want to include their usernames in the survey, due to potential bias against them. The other anonymous ones, had goals to boot as much of the admin and team leader staff as possible; so unless you already knew their writing style, those responses could have been used to skewer the results of the userbase survey.

As I've said, I'm the only one collecting this data. I will re-write whatever is typed out so that identities will be shielded by user writing style. I haven't been here long enough to detect any writing style so don't think I know who you are by what you say. There is no malicious intent here, no risks, no conflicts of interest, and I can almost guarantee that no staff member will be fired because of this anonymous survey. I'm still pretty new here if you compare my time to the long term members, so I'm still trying to get a feel for what's lacking and what needs improvement.

At the end of the day a survey is just a collection of opinions and I don't think any negative can come from asking for what people think. If some people are grievances then they should pick their favourite staff member and DM them anyway.

I'm confident that Lammy isn't corrupt 😂

The survey is still up so if you haven't filled it out yet, please take a moment and let us know your thoughts.

I cannot seem to click the submit button. When I do it loads, and then that's it. No completed page or anything. I've tried it like 5 times and nothing happens.

Update: opened another page for the survey, resubmitted everything and it went through.

I'll be keeping the survey up for a couple more weeks so if you haven't had time to fill it out, please do! It's anonymous and it will help us to see some important aspects of the site we may be overlooking 🙂
