In application they may be, but SMF is just far too amateur in its image...

It's out of date, mind you.

In some of the more detailed stuff, it will be outdated. If I remember correctly, they said phpBB had no quick reply by default, when they put it in recently.

Not updated, thus mostly useless. If they updated it, it would be a great tool in comparing software.

Even then, The Admin Zone's a really great site.

Really need to get down to doing a comprehensive review of them all sometime. Have half a dozen forums on various softwares, myself.

Its nice being familiar with a variety of them, though being the best in the one your currently using the most.

The biggest problem with that link is that it doesn't include how user-friendly the board is.

For example, skinning an IPB is like skinning an animal alive. It kicks, screams, bites and tries to run away before eventually either succumbing or escaping.
