I never found IPB to be easy to use and manage.

I think you'll find I used to be on myfreeforum and then switched to vb and no resetting occured.

Myfreeforums used phpBB2 and passwords are stored differently in phpBB3 so can't be converted -😉-

Looks like this poll is really hotting up, next vote would make all the difference.
Although i like the feel of this forum, i think vBulletin looks more professional - also, i'm slightly put off php by a certain un-friendly member of their styles support staff

Well if you think about it, its actually 16 that people that want the software changed and 12 who want it to stay the same, so you should change it whtever.

Saying you would stop visiting a forum because of the forum software, which is really close to this in general functionality, is just saying you aren't a loyal member to forum promotion which says you don't care about the community. Thats your decision, but we won't be mourning your departure.

I think you should. I'm glad I upgraded my forum to vb even though it's a small forum. 🙂. Just so long as (because your big) can migrate posts and stuff.

i've just checked out a vB user control panel, and if i'm completely honest, i much rather it to the php control panel.
However, i'd still rather stay with php, as it's simple to use. I've been using vB forums all day, and it's a real pain when you have to scan the page high and low, just to find a link to return you to the board index. Also, something else i've noticed, is that the font sizes are too small - i know they're editable, even so, vB is generally designed for people with "ultra-extreme" eyesight, and i wear glasses! ~frown~
