I purchased forum software that was similar to https://www.forumotion.com/ which allowed users to sign up and create forums. I want to bring back this website, but I cant for the life of me remember what the software was called.

Any help will be greatly appreciated 🙂

invision power has that option that allows members to buy or hire servers to even there own forums 😉 they also offer clubs

Was it Zetaboards? They were bought out by Tapatalk.....

I think the OP is taking about software that allows one to run a forum host similar to ZetaBoards, IcyBoards, etc in the past.

For the most part, the trend of starting your own free forum host has died down, so it doesn't look like there's very many options now. I briefly started a free phpBB forum host with a custom script I purchased a few years ago, and I'd say connecting with a developer would probably be your best bet. The things I see (example: https://www.phpbbhs.com/) look very outdated.

If you really wanna impress folks and have a free forum host, make a custom forum script like ZetaBoards then write a script to allow instances of the software to be hosted on your service. 😛

This was the software I was talking about. I was able to login but I see they are no longer updating it.

Thanks

It is better to switch to another version instead of letting this version because a version not updated will be fully of vulnerabilities and also contains a lot of errors.

As of late, they have released a couple updates to the forum software it is running on. Not sure if you noticed, as I only noticed after I was curious if they reopened the new customer purchases, since they suspended it a year ago.

Looks like they still have purchasing suspended. I had to look as well.
