Started out using phpbb2, have tried mambo, YABB, IPB and VB. Always end up coming back to phpbb. Now i'm running 2 different sites, 1 on phpbb2 and the other (which is brand new) on phpbb3.

I only really use phpbb because i think its the best and not too complicated. Anyway i used to love phpbb2, but i am loving phpbb3 now 😀

I am using Phorum right now and i'm loving it!

The templating system is so easy its just funny

The only thing i would say is that its not that popular so that not may addosn and skins have been made for it yet but i'm sure that will all come in time

I've used IPB and phpbb. IPB is my favorite out of the two, because it's the very first one I used, and I find it easier to work then phpbb.

As for the host, I like IPBfree because it has more to it then the other free hosts I've used.

i used vb ipb free if zetaboards and now i use Mybb just like vb
