From time to time we will be spotlighting a forum or blog in order to allow the FP community to be introduced to new sites or get reacquainted with existing sites, and to ask these amazing webmasters questions relating to managing their site!

Our Current Spotlight is owned by Forum Promotion's very own @Lämmchen. Please give it up for Crafter Craze and the amazing content that @Lämmchen has helped generate! We invite members to visit Crafter Craze and get and start talking about one of the most important topics out there! To kickstart the discussion, I'll go first!

1st Question!
@Lämmchen, what kickstarted the forum and how long did it take for you to turn your idea into reality?

Aw, thank you so much for the spotlight!

I've been into crafts since I was about 3 years old. I found myself bookmarking a ton of sites that had projects I wanted to do but then I would never return to them. I thought if I could create a forum that it could become one huge bookmark for me and maybe others would have some fun with it as well?

Once I decided to turn it into a forum it took about 2 months until fruition. It hasn't taken off as I hoped even though I have a few hundred friends who are into crafts so that's been a little sad for me.

Here are some of the crafts I've shown off, given reviews or even patterns for on Crafter Craze:

How cool!!! Do you sell any of your creations @Lämmchen ? Have you considered making YouTube tutorials or even holding local "how to" sessions? I imagine the latter is a little difficult with the pandemic and all.

Everything I make has been given away as gifts so far. I'm already done with Christmas gifts (I still buy things for people but I'm done with the homemade ones) and I work all year long on them. I considered selling things but then I'd either have to deal with craft shows and crowds, which I hate, or shipping, which is a nightmare. I used to ship my portraits and hated it because I would worry until the piece arrived undamaged.

I once thought about doing videos but I'm just not motivated enough.
