Myself, @PlatinumChaosX and our friend Nyko always ran forums when we were teens - at the start of lockdown Chaos asked if we wanted to give a Pokemon forum a shot, and it was a no-brainer to accept since I knew how much of my time I'd be able to occupy with it over the lockdown. So it was actually his idea but he has 2 kids to look after, so I ended up buying the site off him.

It took a good year for us to get anywhere at all, it was only when @Long Live Kasumi signed up last summer and invited some of his friends that we started getting decent activity. We're still a pretty quiet forum but hopefully by improving our Pokedex and whacking out articles we'll be able to gain more traction soon.

Glad you like it! It was me & our third admin Nyko who doesn't have an account here. For the skins Nyko is generally the one who makes all the graphics whereas I'll do the CSS and stuff.

I see in your Shop that members can exchange their Poke Dollars for gift cards! How does one get Poke Dollars? Can you convert your Yen currency to Poke Dollars?

USP = Unique selling point? 😀
At first the thing we were focusing on the most was user customization, but right now I'm trying to make our Pokedex as easy to use as possible - a lot of other Pokemon sites have pretty old school designs, and their Pokedex's can make my head spin, so the focus now is offering something thats both powerful, easy to navigate, and pleasing to the eye.

Delighted you like it! Both Yen & Poke Dollars are earned through posting, but everybodies Poke Dollar count gets reset to 0 once a week - the idea is the Poke Dollar -> Paypal Gift exchange is to reward users who are continuously active and contribute to the site.
If they didn't get reset then people would accumulate them over the course of a few months, without being very active.
They can not be converted (at least not at the moment, perhaps in the future).
