It depends what software you're using. As far as I'm aware every "Ban" feature has an "Unban" feature. Also when you're banning a member 99% of the time you'll be given an option of how long you want to ban them for. ~smile~
Here's the issue... I've been on theezy's forum for afewe months, and everything has been ok, then someone who I know followed me there to spite me followed me there...
So, he upgraded, & I got a PM about whatever... I re-joined, and was asking why my posts merged, but not the account, next thing I know it says I was banned for "flaming", when I was asking about why my account didn't merge..
Oh I see, you're talking about someone else's forum.
Well, you'd have to privately contact theezy about that then. Both of his forums are powered by phpBB, so I can tell you if the ban was only temporary then it would say something like "You are banned until *date here*" - otherwise I'd imagine it's permanent.
I am trying to, and he don't reply... II think he might have assumed if someone was spamming and I was a
member at the time, that it was me... I try to PM/e-mail him, but I never here anything.. It just don't make
sense to me..
I'm was going through a similar issue on another forum I was recently was banned from. My only suggestion is to avoid talking with that person, sending emails, PM's etc. until at least a few months have passed and things have calmed down. If you try joining again within a short time, they will still probably be angry at you and use anything, even the smallest detail, to ban you again.
