Hey, I've just recently got a voucher again for my iTunes/App Store account and I've bought a couple of apps that are great. One problem though: I have no where to talk about these new games, how to do them and get playing with others who enjoy the same games etc as me. So I was thinking of a social networking site for iPods/iPhones/iPads users etc. Basically an Apple forum but I'd rather focus on the iOS side of things.
What do you think about this idea? Would you join/do you like it? What would it need to work out successfully and well etc. All feedback is appreciated! 🙂
Thanks for the interest, I really need a decent site to go for everything iPod really so I plan on making this site in the coming weeks hopefully. I have a lot planned for it and have a nice name as well 🙂
Well I use my iPod all the time but it would still take something special for me to join. It could be a good idea but you could be very limited. Good luck with it mate.
Would you make an app for it too? I guess a lot of users may want to use the site from their device. Chomp.com is a app review site, that may give you some good ideas.
I will definitely think about making a mobile version for the site of course. A specialist app may be a bit far down the line though because the the thing to consider is the site has to be in full swing and fully user useable.
As for getting people to join, things I have planned are to be kept secret for now, but an idea that I've had is having an app store database of all known apps for people to browse. That would be pretty big but obviously it would always be updated with useful and decent apps though. Not every single one.
