He even said he'd rather not sell it. I believe what happened to him was bullshit, and its a shame to see FA go. It was at these times where we were getting on a lot better than the past, well i felt we did.

My budget isnt going to get better for a long time to come. What happened was the state forced me to add my daughter to all my insurance benefits and they have pretty much tripled. Ive had to cut out all the extra expenses in my life.

Well, my condolences go to FA, it's members, the staff and Travis. It's a shame the forum couldn't close under better circumstances, but at the end of the day what was done had to be done.

Personally I'd like to wish Travis all the best in his future endeavours and hope he lives a happy life offline.

I'll stick with my opinion. Despite financial problems, why still close something that you've put your life and soul into? Even if he cannot get access to it anymore, was there still a need to close it? He could've let somebody else take the job. Or leave it be and use the library's computer to go on it. There was no need to kill the entire community.

Well, he makes his decisions, not you. Instead of chastising him for his decision, why don't you have the sense of decency to be kind to someone who's lost a lot of important things to them ( Internet access ) due to problems out of their hands?

And if you didn't read it, why start a topic about it without knowing your facts?

As for using the library computer... he can't really do the job justice going on a library computer from time to time, and on top of visiting/posting, promotion would then be required.

As an ex-admin of the place its really sad to see it go, it was a successful forum without a doubt. I met a lot of great people during my time as staff over there, a few i still keep in contact with.

And also a sorry to travis, i know we have had our differences in the past, but i know how much FA and the island meant to you, so, it must be very hard for you,

I doubt he'll regret it. He's 25 and in financial trouble, if I was in the same state I wouldn't give two shits about running a forum.
