The site was hacked by Oliver & TayneC8, and TayneC8 is an exsisting member here and I wouldn't trust him but luckily some of the guys says it can be brought up.

You can discuss it here and luckily we might see a few answer from Rok or Tayne.

The forum is still getting worked on and finished off but I think they are dealing with Oliver and Tayne at the moment and Amber now. I think Rok is going to be moving soon to something more reliable after what he called ForuMotion.

This is why a guy named nneonneo has a converter that goes from Forumotion to phpBB 3 (and if you want, then go elsewhere). Don't get me wrong, this really sucks, but I'm not too sure if I could be that sympathetic when you can't even back up your own stuff. Speaking of which...

It just goes to show that free hosting like Forumotion is "crap" as you can't download a backup in cases of just like this.

Can't you pay for backups though? :S and as he's staff on the host I think he was entitled to some extra features... the current site is a backup as well...

Keep dreaming (take it as a joke). This is forumotion we're talking about. Strict totalitarianism. No backups whatsoever, even if you are staff at the "support forum", when still, are not real employees. The main employees are at the French support forum.

You can't take a backup and leave. They won't let you, however, with a good Python script, you can make ends meet, somehow.

Not really backfired, rok still lost like a few weeks of stuff and a lot of downtime... also they can just do it again, the exploit isn't fixed...

Well the fact is they are back. Who ever comes back 100% without anything missing at all is a champ.
