Well to be honest. It would be another backlink. blah blah blah
You answered my question with a lot of off-topic contents.. The reason you answered my question with is NOT enough. That's not going to benefit webmasters much..

Anyway... People join promotion forums for TRAFFIC.
Some key points to get a new promotion forum off the ground :

1. In advertising threads, ALL/most staff members should visit the member's website and reply to the thread. ( note: none of that generic, "nice website/forum. Good luck with it" crap / it makes me want to slap the person in the face, that's the truth. )
-> people actually look at "advertising threads" ( from ad forum ) to see if it's worth their time to join a forum. You should have a decent staff team. ( hire a good number of staff members that gives honest reviews and willing to be active to increase traffic at the forum / make sure they are experienced, btw ) When people see that their advertisement threads are getting replies, they also reply or update their thread to get more comments & maybe new members to their site.

As a bonus, get your staff members to sign up on people's forums that joins yours. Lurking visitors gets excited when viewing an ad thread with the comment from another member saying, "I've joined your forum". It makes 'em want to join your promotion forum, start a thread to advertise and get comments and new registrations.

2. Posting Packages
-> Kick start the forum with FREE posting packages. Hire packagers that makes high quality posts. Make sure you do something so that the person does not request a package and leave permanently. Keep the package request conversation going somehow.

If posting packages are "high quality posts", that might get me to join your forum for sure. Others might also be interested if you promote it right. The "free" part is just to get people tempted to join as I ignore most ads that requires... you know.

You need something else that will get their attention and that's up to you to brainstorm.

3. After Bringing in the Traffic
-> After you've followed the above and promoted your forum in most promotion/admin forums, you should have a few members at the forum ( some active, some not ) .
Now, you have traffic and others wants that traffic, so they'll join the forum sooner or later.

You can start offering "advertising" services.
People will see your traffic and post to earn "points" to purchase services.

For the rest, you'll be required to think/brainstorm.

Anyway, you copied a name, you should be ashamed of yourself. thats copyright infringement, yo.

The name "Forum Promotion" is not copyrighted. So, I don't think it's copyright infringement. Correct me if I am mistaken.
oh really, but I thought it was with it being such a big forum and a mainstream one. XD

The forum could have 850million members and unless it's copyrighted, shit don't matter. 🙂

Thanks for that feedback Marc...Gives me a few ideas and a lot of insight to how to run it. Will give you some rep after I post this 😀

I think it's highly disrespectful that you would even advertise 'your site' here on the REAL ForumPromotion, you have clearly ripped off this site, you have all the same forums. Although, if you want it to be better, at least spell 'Announcements' correctly.

Thanks for that tip...now I will give one of my own...the real forumpromotion which is a .com(considering a .com is the best TLD you can have), redirects to another website. So if I you are saying I ripped off the name, you ripped off the name as well.

Also I don't have all the same forums. I don't have signature advertising, auction house, what is going on, and forum battles for example. My non-promotional area is setup differently, I even use different subforums. My managing an online community is totally different then Managing Online Forums & Websites here...only thing that is the same is the Promotion Tricks & Help.

I find it funny how you tell me to spell something correctly in the tone that you have. I know you are saying a way to make it better, yet the tone you say it in was just to correct me on an error. Which if you read the rules..."Additionally, please do not post in order to just correct a user's spelling or grammar. These we deem as unnecessary and rude." Kinda fits into that category because of you wanting to flame me for having a forum with the same name. There are many other forums with the same structure yet I don't see you all flaming them like I have received here. You are a staff member and should treat me with respect. I didn't break any rule by making this forum and promoting it here. I find nowhere that I can't promote a forum with the same name but different TLD extension.

If it is that much of a concern and to stop being bashed by staff and members. I will spend the money to buy a new domain name, transfer everything over and then promote the new name at a later date, and asked for this topic to be close/deleted.

(What are my options? I bought a new domain. Can I have this topic name changed to new domain name or can it be closed/deleted?)

Technically, no site exists called forumpromotion.com, as it redirects to another site, so the owners of FP are not ripping anyone off.

I did not post to just correct your grammar, that was a small part of my post added to the end of what I wrote about feeling you were ripping off FP, so my post was not solely about your grammar/spelling.

Fair enough...I guess it was just the tone of it. Maybe if you would have said something like..."I don't know if you noticed but you spelled Announcements wrong. "

All is well though. I now have everything on a new domain. Fixed all the name issues. Can I at least get the topic name changed....the forumpromotion.us will just forward them to the new domain of forumpenthouse.com...

Sorry about that, I guess it was a bit rude.

And I think your new domain is much better, it's original and is a .com which is great. And you can change the title yourself, just 'Full Edit' your main post.
