Forums Down? DDOS??

Hey,

Ive been working on my site it was all working fine then sudenly the server went down, its weird how a server can go down in 1 minute could this be a dos/ddos attack? And how can i tell, I have tried pinging the server and isitdown.com And it apares to be ofline :S

Hooe to have an answer asap so i have the site operational again

It may be server issues but it only happendd on the next time i refreshed the page?

I doubt someone would bother DDOSing you. It was probably your internet or your host.

Why not message your host? We can't give you a 100% answer.

Just because a site isn't loading doesn't mean it's being DDOSed you know 😛 Downtime is what it could be 😉

Thats a good point, But if it was server issues wouldnt you have a lag first.

Next time it is down, try out:

www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com

That will give you a good answer.

If it is down for everyone, then it is likely a host or DDOS or DOS problem.

If it's down for just you, then, well, you have your answer.

Yeah i did try something similar doj.com it said it was down for everyone.

A server can suddenly go down for reasons other then DDoS attacks and with DDoS attacks, they don't always lead to your site/server being totally inaccessible and even if it does, it is not always instant either.
