Over years I have been foruming which is now I am now on my 6th year I started foruming back 2015 Its was part on RP on Habbo Hotel where I first started or learnt what a forum was after that this was after I left Habbo Hotel I found about another forum which shall not be named I was trolled on it a lot it was Gaming Developing forum it had a lot of development on it also used Xenforo I left to staff and users trolling then. I found about FP and saw what I was missing out and how fun it was I joined everyone is friendly on here. I always wanted to work here which I am now it took me years on my old account to get into moderator with being denied over maybe 10-15 times anytime in opened. Although I have been on other forums but I never stuck with them due to being over the topic immature and ban members for no reason I will again not name any. Anyways to keep this short here are forums I wanted to work and still do

  1. ForumPromotion (Work currently)
  2. Makestation- After FP this really deserves some recognition I love the forum theme and layout I haven't worked here but always maybe one day I will
  3. MyBB or any other Support Forum
  4. Gaming/General Forum (Gaminglatest)- Now I already work here as Admin and Mr DS does update and put a lot of dedicated to the site I also so old news on blog where we ranked number 5

And Really that was it unless I am missing something I keep this thread update once I remember thanks for taking time Ik it was a bit long read.

I’ve been on a lot of forums in the past. I miss them due to nostalgia but I also recognise that they probably wouldn’t work as well nowadays.

Times have changed and traditional forums are clearly struggling to maintain the activity they once had.

Some forums I remember;
  • Forum Promotion (phpBB days)
  • phpBB Communities
  • FreeForums.org support
  • Promotion Source
  • Promotion Hotspot (I think that’s right, I wasn’t as active)

Have you worked on Phpbb3 or support of FreeForums?

I never got on to a team on the phpBB.com site but I was a style technician for FreeForums.org when that was a thing, yeah.

I did have a free forum account a month or a week before they closed. But seems awesome never worked a support forum was there any difference between it and a regular one like webmaster etc?

I;d love to work on the support forums of any official forum software sites like say SMF, MyBB, PunBB, FluxBB.
I am just getting started with forumpromotion.
I wish to expand though. It's just that I can't work for free especially after the chinese virus damage to jobs around.

If I could be responsible for managing/moderating a community as a legitimate career, that would be cool with me.

Along with me. I actually have one job site bookmarked, and I am now starting to see entries for work at home moderation/managing for a couple of companies, with the positions open to experience, up to a bachellors in something related. Heck, the one I looked at recently, will take certifications in certain things, without the degree.
