Forums without a quick reply?

Do you love 'em or hate 'em?

I cannot stand a forum without a quick reply simply because I post fast and need somewhere fast to put the post.
 
Hate them, it's really annoying, there's no point having to load another page just to make a post.
 
I don't mind if they're using a free forum provider but if it's hosted by a FTP then I will leave the forum.
 
To me, it is one of the most essential things for a forum to have. Having to load a page, just to post a quick comment is very annoying.
 
I pretty much have the same opinion as HCF. The QR is a faster way to reply.
 
A quick reply is a must. Its convenient and easy to use.
 
Almost all softwares come with the quick reply already installed.
Phpbb doesnt for some reason but that can easily be fixed with a mod installation.

I know they dont have it on phpbb.com because they want the support forum to be an unmodified "live demo" of what you are going to get.
 
phpBB does have a quick reply 😉

I find it annoying to start off with but i get used to forums without one quickly though.
 
I must admit I do prefer a forum to have a quick reply, I am someone who is a quick poster and really do prefer to be able to read a thread and then post my opinions and things straight after without the wait of a page to load to be able to reply.
 
I refuse to join a forum without quick reply. phpBB's coders seem to think that people who use quick reply only post stuff like ''Yes,'' ''I agree,'' and ''Lol,'' but I make virtually all of my posts, including this one, in quick reply.
 
Well, I think that quick reply is necessary, unless it is not an option, or if it's an RP forum.
 
I am neutral, if it has quick reply is plus, but only that.

Some time ago, most of the boards I went to didn't have this, so I am used either way. I don't see it wrong.

I usually use the quick reply because I know most of the tags I use in BBCode, though some times I load the full page to see the full editor.
 
I agree, it is very annoying, though I wouldn't consider it a forum 'killer'. It just makes contibuting a to the site a whole lot more efficent.

Thats all I ever use, although I wish we had an option to "+"/"-" the text box though... :roll:
 
A lot of the forums I posted on years ago never had quick replies, so I don't mind the extra clicking.
 
Quick reply is like a must-have for me. If they don't have it, ahhh I probably won't be there haha.
