Webmaster ForumSpark - Host your forum for free.

ForumSpark is a free forum hosting platform using bespoke software.
This is a great idea and wish you the best. The community looks great.

@fords8 - I can see you have registered a forum - so I assume everything is good now? There may be some hiccups every once in a while. Feel free to report them on the support forums, please. 🙂

Getting the server 500s on the forum I made and signing up to your support forum. The signup went OK and I got the email to verify. But after that, 500s.

Feel free to report them on the support forums, please. It's easier for us to keep support in the designated forum rather than advertisement topics. 🙂

I can't. That is getting 500s as well.

EDIT: Looks like it is off and on. Will keep testing.

Hey! It looks like there was a small issue with the timezone selection. I deployed a fix for that so everything should be working as normal for you - sorry about that!

I take it the colour scheme from ZetaBoards was intentional, yes? 😛

Anyway, I wish you luck with it! 😃👍

Completely yes. 😀 Although we’re working on more themes behind the scenes. Possibly a new default color scheme as well.

Thanks!

Intriguing, I might just have to make a random board just to poke around because I am very curious.

I was going to ask how it could be free and then read the FAQs that state ForumSpark offers a free plan with essential features, including 250MB of file storage.

How quickly does one fill up a community before it goes over 250MB?

That is still to be seen of course. In normal conditions this shouldn’t really be an issue. And when the issue arises, we’ll do everything we can to keep it free of course. There is an integrated file manager to keep it all easily manageable.

It's maybe good to point out that the 250MB really only applies to the file manager / file uploads and not to posts, topics etc.

The whole thing is run at a cost to ourselves as we're just getting started. Hopefully we will find supporters to help out with donations as we grow and upgrade infrastructure. Longer term we may also offer additional premium features, themes and apps to help offset costs without taking away from the free offering that is currently there 🙂

Hope that helps!

Those are some great ideas to help offset costs. Plus advertising on the main site to bring in revenue.

I just made a forum using ForumSpark to give it a try. Man this makes me happy, it reminds me of Zetaboards so I made a forum for retro things like entertainment and old websites. xD
