Thanks for the feedback. ProBoards is what I have learnt to use and have been using it for years. Please don't judge the forum because of the software, at the end of the day it's the community that makes the forum.

The site looks very nice. There is nothing wrong with using Proboard, except that you can't get a domain name.

Good luck with it.

Thank you 🙂

You can get a domain through proboards, but you have to pay proboards to do it probably, which is a bit of a shame because there are cheaper ways to link a domain. (my other site www.advertiseyoursite.net is a proboard forum)

For some reason when I click the URL... nothing loads for me. I don't know if it's on my end, but everything else loads fine for me.

Nevermind, got it working ^^. I hope you are open for some feedback, it's only feedback, not meant to make you feel bad.

I immediatly could see I'm on a Proboards site.... because of how it looks. Don't get me wrong, I've seen AWESOME looking proboards sites, which you can't distinquish from self-hosted forums. I think that's something you really need to work on... find a professional and sleek looking skin. This one looks... rather childish, doesn't fit the niche at all in my opinion.

Next to getting a new skin, I would also work on your banner, it is nothing special and also rather bland. I would expect to see nice 'graphics' on a photography forum, after all, most photographers also have some skills to make their photo's look awesome in photoshop.

Content wise, start making topics! I see three empty forums now, if there's no topics, your guests might not even be interested in joining. Your new members will have nothing to do, and leave immediatly. While it's good not to start out with a huge amount of forums, what I see as guest is not very attractive to join. It seems there's not enough areas to dig into. I would make some more photography specific forums (look at other established photography forums), make content and be active. I also miss a welcome forum... maybe it's located somewhere else.

I wish you a lot of luck. Photography is also a hobby, but for now I wouldn't join your forum!

Thanks for your feedback ShinLi.

I wanted to keep it 'simple' to start with, and then build it up as time goes on with the ideas and input from the community members. I want it to be welcomely and homely for the users, but to be homely I need to find out what people want.

Although it's a photography forum I'd like to try and be a bit different to other forums, I just need to find something unique for the forum, again, with the help of the community :great:

You REALLY need to change that theme. I'm into photography, but your forums doesn't say "Photography". I can't tell what makes it look different from other forums, I've seen newbie forums that look like your forum so I can tell you it's not different. If yo had a custom theme than you'd be Different.

I've been changing the theme about today so would welcome more comments about it.

I've worked on some ideas from some of the members already there, which is what I wanted as my goal, for the forum to be a homely place for the members, made by the members.
