You need to pay 3000FP$ in order to have a custom rank. If you want to change it, you need to pay 100FP$.

Well the Admins have to go in and add a new user rank in the ACP, and it can add up pretty quickly when there are a few users with custom titles.

Giorgios is correct. It take more work to do the custom titles than changing a username.
