Free Domain transfer?

Does anyone know if there is any domain registar that offers free domain transfer.
I want to transfer a domain from 1 company to another but i want a free one.

I heard that once you transfer a domain, they will provide an extra 1 year for that?

In this case, is it a saying that it's not possible to be free?
If so wondering is this website a scam or?

GoDaddy will let you transfer your domain to them for 99 cents and it comes with a 1 year extension for the domain. Not free but great deal from a reputable business.
