I was once a senior moderator and support team member on FreePowerBoards when it was really the best there was. They really had everything. Unfortunately, Chris is involved in other projects at the moment and sold FPB to CrowdGather, a company completely new to forum hosting. It has since gone rapidly downhill. Completely inactive support forums, 75% of features aren't working properly, loaded with ads, et cetera...

I disagree Fowler, If you look on any zetaboard,it says based on ipb1.3.

I think the goal of it though was to expand upon invisionfree.

I said it isn't really based on anything. There might be a slight bit of ipb in there but it has been customized so much with loads of new features, you can't really say it is based on anything.

Yeah, I use ZB on my current forum, and it is not at all like IPB. This is a bad thing really, because the custom code makes it very hard to convert it to anything else 🙁
