So first of all i don't know where I should post this anyway does anyone a Free Forum Hosting sites I only know one thats Icyboards (MyBb) are there anymore.
(Please Move this thread if this doesn't belong here thanks.)

Free ones are ok to get you kick started but personally i would recommend free hosting then installing a forum system that you can manage fully or paid hosting / install own forum

Adding to list above here are a few more free forum hosting sites out there, how good they are im unsure as they are not tested by me.

http://www.forumotion.com/
http://www.freeforums.org/
http://www.invisionfree.com/

Here's most of the hosts I've heard of:

- jcink.com (based off IPB 1.3)
- icyboards.net (based off MyBB 1.8)
- zifboards.com (formerly invisionfree, based off IPB 1.3)
- zetaboards.com (custom software)
- forumotion.org (phpbb, not sure if it's phpbb2 or 3 though.)
- yuku.com (used to be called ezboards, but their server died and was rebuilt/branded. Offhand it's custom software, possibly built off yabb2. But I'm not 100% certain here.)
- proboards.com (based off yabb2, though has gone through a number of revisions so probably closer to custom now.)
- hyperboards.com (split off from proboards, is basically proboards 4.5, I'm not sure how active this is because every forum I've seen of this host always says "must login to view".)
- conforums.com (also split off from proboards, is basically proboards 4.5)

I recommend Proboards for those that are just starting out and are wanting to get a forum up and running immediately. It's a great place to get started. The downside to using Proboards I believe is that they do not make it easy for you to move data to another forum host (which I can't blame them for I can understand they'd want to keep members). Also, you are required to pay a fee when you're wanting to use your own domain name (on top of you purchasing a domain name yourself). I used to them for many years though and their support is superb.

Proboards is alright but not for me

What I have said before Are there any new ones as many of them are down such as freeforum

Try to use paid hosting if you can because if you use free host you will get tons of down time even though they say 99.9% up time but if i recommend any free host it would be icyboards.

Yeah icyboards is the best one I have tried but have noticed an alarming number of guests that seem to track users' locations on the service, though its probably to pay for the server costs and such since they don't have any obtrusive advertising (2 banners as far as I remember).
