They give you a beginning key, you then click redeem key on their site. It will ask you to log into your EA account (create one if you dont have one) and redeem the key on either PC or PS3. Once you click PS3 it gives you the voucher code which can be enterred into PS3 - Account Management - Vouchers (Not sure if that's the exact route, but you will see full screen directions once you get to that page)

After your voucher is in, PSN will let you download it.

I would guess it ends whenever EA tells them they've given too many keys away. Don't think there is like a set date or anything.
