I used to use HostWoot, it's easy and reliable, and the owners are nice. It can be confusing though.
How long do you need hosting before you pay?

I would say about 6 weeks and then move the site to Hawk ,

I do think that you should use Empire Hostings. They have great service over there and in my whole time there (5 months) I haven't witnessed any downtimes :great:
