Which free security software(s), such as antivirus, antispyware, antimalware, etc...do you recommend that has a "Real Time" Monitoring Feature(s)/Tool(s), and why do you recommend them?

I've always used AVG as a firewall and antivirus, it works well. 🙂

Yeah avast is awesome.

What do you guys think about the new Spybot does that have any free real-time protection?

Not sure if the new release is spybot 2 or not?

Avira free offers also real time protection(it runs on the background silently) plus it's ultra lightweight.

Comodo Antivirus is another free antivirus solution. It offers some quite good features for a free real time protection software such as the patented Auto Sandbox Technology™ and the Defense+ Technology.
It has a very good admin panel too that's one of the most user-friendly out there

And one last from me for today is PC Tools Antivirus free.
Real time protection and from worms,trojans virii(plural of virus) and rootkits. It even offers the IntelliGuard™ technology(former only on pro version) for the best available free real time protection.

Oh and i just found that Spyware Terminator 2012(http://www.pcrx.com/spywareterminator/) offer Real time (not antivirus)anti-spyware protection in its free version! I don't think it offers "real time" protection in the same way other software does. It offer the "immunize system", but it actually is more the scan and clear/repair tool.

Thats what I was thinking, same with malware bytes, the paid versions offer real time protection, but not the free versions.

I been using Panda Cloud Antivirus from http://www.cloudantivirus.com/en/#!/fre ... s-download . It has real-time protection, and I don't need to update the definition files because it uses the internet to detect viruses in real-time.

I can't tell it is running unless I'm doing a full scan. It uses a few MBs of RAM according to Task Manager.

Almost all free anti-virus software provides RTP... If it didn't it would just be a virus scanner like clamav...

As for my suggestion, I suggest avast. They are the only free anti virus to receive the Advanced+ award from AC comparitives.
