I think had a forum with them from around 2008-2009. I liked it, until it changed over to Version 3, and didn't have any good designs.

I was thinking the same thing. The design looks pretty similar in both the front page and the forum theme as now. the only difference I can see the is difference in sections (they have more now) and posts.
