Well I didn't know what it is, but it made me curious, because I vaquely remember seeing the name "freenet" years ago ,..even before they had netscape, I was useing a Dos browser, at the time, I don't know if it is the same,..How long has it been around ? Do you use it ?,..I looked at the site, but did not download anything,..I think I would want to learn more about it first. It sounded kind of interesting, the
"internet" as we know it or , I am not really very impressed, mostly, malware, spam and advertiseing.

To me it's an interesting concept but it's a ruined a bit with some of the things that go on in there. Freedom of information is a great goal and I like what freenet has been doing but some people feel like they need to abuse it.
I know what you mean, Freedom of expression,is a good idea, but many think that gives the the go ahead to be offensive, lie, and publish some really "low" material,..but that would be another topic,..thanks for the reply though.
