My forum isn't a tech-only forum by any means but it does have an area for this kind of stuff and I'm a huge Open source advocate. I'm making a list of "free"ware and Open Source alternatives to commercial programs.

I may do regular affiliation links but, I'm still trying to figure out how I want to go about it.

Do you just put them on the your forum index or do you add them to all the pages? I'm thinking about adding my affiliate buttons on all the forum pages because... It makes sense and would be easier I think just to edit the footer.
