Thanks to a corrupt database from a host that went haywire the other day due to some f**kers wreaking havoc with it, I had to start my website ALL over again..

We *HAD* over 125,000 in posts, over 180 users.

We now have 44 members and a little over 1,600 posts..

I'm absolutely gutted that I had to do this just SIX months to the day that I had to redo it in June.

It's been a horrible week to say the least..

No? As far as I know, as long as you didn't make any drastic changes to the software, your backup file should have worked just fine...

Ouch.. I am very sorry to hear that.

I every so often try restoring backups on another forum to ensure that they restore properly so if something happens i know there will be one that works even if it is a week or so old at the worst.

It was sad that it happened as it was 6 months down the drain but that's life eh?

Those that truly want to be there won't mind the loss in post count. *lol*

We had 2 hack attacks as well within 24hrs of each other - that was quite scary as well. Needless to say I am not supplying a file uploader for the time being until I can get a more secure script (if that was the script that caused hackers access in the first place)..

It's been a LONG few weeks, that's for sure!

Allowing people to upload stuff these days always presents a security problem...

It's funny how I had the uploader for 3yrs prior and never had a problem till that week. That is if it was the problem..

As of this morning we're on a brand new server with our host and I'm pleased as punch! Just awaiting a few more things and then I'm reopening the board again!
