First Impressions: (7 out of 15)
The first thing I notice about this site is the header. I love the purple coloring. I think it's bold and attractive. That said, the grey/gray used is aweful, especially in the logo/banner text. It really takes away from the site as a whole.
Site Structure: (7 out of 15)
The site is pretty easy to navigate. The biggest issue that I have is that there's no way to register for the site. I don't see a way to subscribe, and potential members of the site and the forum don't have a direct registration button or link anywhere. At least, I can't find one. If I can't find it, then it needs to be more out in the open and easy to access.
Design Quality: (7 out of 15)
As mentioned in the opening statement, I like the overall design of the site. My issue lies within the grey/gray text in the logo. Personally, I think it's hideous, and it takes away from the overall look and feel of the site. Purple is a good bold color. If you were going to go with a grey/gray color for the sub-text and off-text, I'd go with a lighter variation. Something that doesn't look so "Windows 95."
Instead of using grey/gray, why not try a lighter shade of purple?
Originality: (15 out of 15)
Personally, I love the concept the site revolves around. I've not seen a forum/website dedicated to this apart from social media sites. That said, social media is more for keeping in contact with family and friends. This site focuses more on making friends and features helpful articles that guide users to learning more about themselves and others. It's not quite a social media site or a dating site because of its specific focus.
Overall Mark: (36 out of 60)
Overall, not bad. There are a few things you need to work on as stated in this review, but I think you're off to a decent start.
