Have you ever posted on a forum and been active so long where you consider a member a friend?

Some people do, other people just treat them as other members. You can do to know so much about the person by activly posting on the forum with them.

Heck. I've been roleplaying with the same crowd since 2005. Four years was enough time to consider some of my staff members as family. And while running a community with 40 active members is rough, I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world. A few of my members I've visited in real life and we talk to each other on the phone. (Despite living in different states and countries)

Wehn I was a member on Xbox360Forum.com some Canadian members had such a close 'online friendshio' they met up. Then hated each other. ~lol~

They both went crazy and were banned. ~lol~

I have two sets of mates, those I meet online and talk to regularly, and those I see every day and work with.

I wouldn't consider my 'online friends' as a real "buddy", nor would I go to the extent of meeting up with them in real life. It's nice to have people on forums and your MSN who you chat with daily and interact with them though.

I am obviously a real "buddy" ~lol~

I know almost everyone on my forum and they get to know me well over the forum and through the events that we have every month. Its a great way to get to know someone, though my Xbox Live Friends list is getting full now...

I have online friends but they are not anyone I would go out with or play football with, so they are like friends but they are online if you get what I mean. ~lol~

Hell yeah, I'm great friends with one of my moderators and we're gonna meet up soon as he lives driving distance.

LOL no football with me =/ lol jk

A lot of members on my board are ppl i know from another site we belong to. Many whom i have met in person. Anyone whom i get along with and chat with on the boards and or msn, is considered a friend. Heck i never get out enough anyways to spend quality real ppl time with anyone, so i go the virtual g2g route.

Your not good enough. ~lol~

I think with all the stories you hear today about people meeting off the internet and what happens is quite scary which puts a lot of people off from meeting up with online friends. I don't think I would meet up with anyone off the internet but you can never say never I suppose.

i guess shared interest and bonds can be made, espacially when you've been on a small forum for a year and a half.... I wouldn't say it,s absolute trust, but when you get along well..

A guy is supposed to visit this summer..... which scares me a little, i think.... even if we have been talking for a year... hmm *thinks*

I somtimes make friends with people from other forums. I seen add them to my AIm or MSN, then we talk and we become even more friends.
