FTP Client

Also use SmartFTP, I find it by far the best FTP client around and definitely woth the cost of the License ~smile~

I love the features it gives users, like how you can choose "x" amount of workers...pause, stop and play uploading files from the transfer queue, the accessible buttons it gives you when there's a file clash.

Overall it's very use friendly and a pleasure to own ~smile~

I don't understand how you lot can work with fileZilla, for me it was like going back to Windows 95 ~mad~

I dont use any =P

I use the default Blue Host file transfer-er, and it works well for what I need done, I dont know how you all can work with anything else.

The problem I find with using file manager as opposed to FTP client is the fact it takes so much longer to do anything. With file manager, you have click a load of links and icons to get to the location of what you want to download, then you have to click "browse" for every file you want to upload then wait for the thing to upload. Then if you want to download a file you have to do the same but instead of clicking browse you just click download.

At least with FTP client you can literally drag a handful of files and drop them onto the directory you want them to upload them to. Same with downloads, just highlight the ones you want to download and dump them onto the desktop. It's quicker, easier and more user friendly ~smile~

Filezilla is free and its simply to use what more can you ask for? -D-

Fetch, because my parents paid for it. It is quite fast, and use friendly. And it's for Macs 🙂

I use FireFTP a it integrates with Firefox and it makes it easier in my opinion as you can easily upload/download files from the browser while browsing normally rather then switching between 2 programs.
